Somewhere in Africa, today, perhaps now, a young child dies as we speak, he owes no one, killed no one, hates no one, but is dying of hunger! Stray bullets and bombs claim many in ignorance and innocence, just coz a few souls n characters are stained, lost and stray, building armies, empires and fortunes, a brighter future perishes away. I have often thought to myself, is the white man ahead/ better off because of his talents, strategies, or hard work? Compare Europe Asia and America to Africa, in relation to causes, effects and roles in slave trade and colonialism, Isnt there a cause worthy of all African thought, emotion, opinion, time n intellect! Once upon a time our market place was an exchange place, but now its a war zone! In the sheet of Africa’s Ethics, Morals and Culture, the west used money guns politics and religion to punch holes, which holes the law uses to manipulate what we call justice but ofcourse at a price. The court is a market place, religion is proving such an investment, corporate slavery and corporate colonialism have replaced apertheid, slave trade and outright racism. Privatisation, redistribution of a country's land and resources/corporate take over is disguised as invitation of foreign investors.
Once upon a time, a white man came to Africa, with a bible in one hand and a rifle in the other, where a chosen few noble souls saw responsibility, the self imposed wanton egotists saw opportunity. In Africa they found beauties and treasures untold, gold, silver, diamond, fruit, hearts n men of stone, nature, societies and civilisations free of guns cancer and borders. These self imposed superiors painted their truest characters in the hearts n minds of the then oblivious souls in authority, who were of then less priviledged intellectual and lingual faculties. Thanks to colonialism, apertheid, racism, partitioning, looting, exploitation, slave trade and many unknown pre-meditated injustices, an ever growing grand hiatus between them and us exists on all levels, financial, political, social, technological, educational, medical n more. But our zeal, talents, genius, conscience and intellect were kept safe from such evil and hatred, deep with in our hearts flesh and roots is the real Africa.
Its amazing how the priorities of the colonialists and slave traders changed upon independence of African states, our former robbers became our lenders, they that once bought n sold us sought to trade with us, former murderers thieves and dictators then posed as diplomats n democrats, despite Africa's plight and the 3rd world, technology weapons profit n superiority are their top concerns. Honestly, pardon my being irate but is there any justice, good will or sense in any of this? How can it be that Africa was left in war, with un planned settlements, disfunctional political systems, ineffective education sytems and corrupt, blind, greedy souls! Wouldnt u agree with me that with our purely natural lifestyles, talents and industrious creative minds we would have gotten to a much better today without foreign influence! Who ever needed electricity, a flight or car any where? Water, food, medication, education and family was always in our reach without loans risks and pollution.
Our governments clearly have twisted priorities. Investments and weapons is all they pursue. Is Uganda an empire, a dynasty, a company or a nation? Today, what is justice? where is Justice? whose is justice? Is there democracy at all in this era, why should the electoral commission be guarded more than the National Bank? Who changes a constitution at will and pays certain MPs extra money to support a motion in parliament? Who buys jets, creates more districts (more wages and expenses) in a 3rd world country just after a global recession! Uganda has the best weather in East Africa but we have no food reserves! We have more tear gas stocks than gas reserves, is it a war on us or a war for us that ur preparing? Is load shedding a logical reality or a supply strategy?
Ponder a little on this, does democracy sincerely deliver justice? or majority opinion, some in hope some in faith, true we vote, juries vote, so much opinion wars in society. In collaboration with corruption, these make justice a myth. Let us not pretend that your initiatives and priorities are not betraying all your ambitions. How can issues like oil profits and kingdoms, which are of national concern n benefit be matters particulars to which only a few are privy, the few being an independent political party with a few families and friends. Justice and democracy are surely not for the poor, atleast not for Africa! How much more can or should we take from a leader whose every action, decision n initiative is driven by a single spur of selfish interests and ofcourse always aiming at monetary ends, one who scrupulously substitutes the word patriotism for dictatorship. In time I have appreciated through study and experience that democracy only serves to deliver public opinion rather than justice, and we all know majority opinion isnt necessarily the truth.
Lawyers judges and offenders alike exchange cash in the courts of law as wages and fines, more like sales and bribes, all in pursuit of justice. Opinions of the jury, lawyers and judges, like all human beings, are subject to emotions, manipulation and prejudice. Politics and religion of the white man successfully robbed Africa of her own spirituality and age old cultural self governance and traditional justice. How can an issue of a man having sex with another man be left to public opinion, all in the name of human rights. At what point does liberty turn into permission to concsiously deter nature’s course of survival. The industrialisation, automation and mechanisation of essential work & labour undermined the moral duties of sweating, farming, hardwork, innovation and self reliance, simultaneously sowing seeds of laziness, dependancy, anger, cancer, greed, hatred n war. Taking money’s worth to heights reserved for ethics and morals. This in turn gave rise to this self perpetuated cycle of war, greed, conflict, disease, corruption, injustice, pain, hunger, financial dependancy and untimely death.
I suggest its time Africa took her stand n claimed all that was meant n destined for her, we need no guns, no loans, all we need is all 52 states looking to lift themselves as one continent, it's all we can n all we should if we seek a better tomorrow where our sovereignity, cultures, peace, progress and justice shall be upheld and thus be able to thrive and survive. Look beyond all borders colour status n history, n u will see that we're one family and unless we move as one, we're all just lost souls! All our talents, efforts, time n hopes are futile unless we seek a worthy common end, the salvation, redemption n liberation of this age is upon us as a generation. Technologies, Arts and Sciences alike, all authorities and our leaders ought to seek the will of God rather than his role, so should we all, my heart cries for this, with every click n keystroke, every sweat n tear, every thought n deed, every dime n second, lets work to this end.
In us I can see a tomorrow where Africa doesnt have to borrow and carry on such sorrow. Cant u see they lend us today to buy tomorrow, its a set up for more sorrow, blinded and corrupt, the filthy greedy leaders just follow, feast on our sweat and joys, and then we, the pain swallow. How u treat today determines how u like tomorrow, waste today u lose tomorrow, act today to make tomorrow, its only during today that u can change tomorrow. It takes us, one people oneday to save a whole worlds tomorrow. Change has no season, search your heart you’ll find a reason. Let the wise rise n follow, lets unite for one tomorrow. Time for a RIOT, i dont mean a RIOT as in a violent melee but i mean R.I.O.T, an era of Respect Integrity Order n Truth. It takes a plan n ambition to prepare, hope pain n prayer will get us there. RIOT every one, post this to every conscious African mind u know, stay blessed while at it. R.I.O.T on fellow Africans, ordinary Ugandans, dont mistake it for ignorance or tolerance but the violence we dont embrace, we've grown n learnt to think n fight wit ink, lets use the pen n voice to redeem, empower n enlighten our race... So help us God.

Time...
In the long walk of life, I have come to appreciate my closest friend, she has earned my full trust! Loyal like no other i know except for trouble, misery n sorrow, i know often i've hurt her but never has she judged me! She only guides and reminds me, never has she gossiped to/about me n neither has she spread a rumour! Only she knows ma darkest fears n ma brightest hopes, ma lowest trials n ma highest triumphs. She's so principled n diligent! I hate her for the fact that she never waits regardless of wat explanation u give or situation ur in. But that has only taught me to keep up! With all she seems to have n know, she wont tell me tomorrow or even let me borrow! Time, friends until the end...
Alone n away...
While alone n away, in absolute silence n peace, emotion n thoughts consume me as I ponder on life. Beyond all interference n opinion, solitude revealed a lot to me. Had I known then all I know now, I would probably have done it all different but am glad it turned out this way. The beauty of expression indeed lies in the liberty of freewill! Free will might be perceived as privilege for all but many forget that with such power comes immense responsibility! Suffering must indeed be the deepest form of intelligence coz growin up I wasn’t accustomed to fortune n luxury! I have learnt the hard way that with ability to think comes essence to reason, with the liberty to choose comes power to decide and with chance to exist comes duty to survive. Expression, free will n survival are the common duties and rights of all nature earned by virtue of existence through the gift of life as long as they do not prohibit another from pursuing or enjoying the same. I believe character n fate are not subject to our choice, they must be God’s recipe for every soul to choose n find a destiny, of course with in a given time frame concluded by death. Time, fate, knowledge, failure, hope, pain, hunger n anger have refined all ma strategies. Now that am grown, am grateful for all the misery n tragedies. All my experiences, bonds, trouble n sorrow have polished me into a better me! They’ve nurtured me into a different me, most of all into a conscious me. Been embarrassed, humiliated, appreciated n hated, hurt a few times but don’t regret any of it! Though it was often unjust, there r times I earned n deserved it. In this life of mine subject to a unique-extraordinary fate, nature, associations n relations, I have known n courted many, even got intimate with the few I considered true n close to me coz it’s they that had earned my confidence. Pardon a brother if I strayed abit but I believe you can never find what you never lost! And it’s coz of that, that am grateful for all the neglect, disappointments n rejection coz they only kept me closer to the people n thingz that actually matter. Time n fate have made n broken many bonds, hurts me to know some experiences n memories but ultimately they’v kept me on track to all that I aspire n deserve…
Faces n places...
All my life I've been lost in this maze of temptations n opportunities that seems to grow with age.Too many one ways, turns n doors I dont know which is right or wrong. No one's without fault but I tried to keep on the right track. With time i realised it takes a couple of left turns on ur way to the right turn. I feel so much rage, cant find the keys out this cage. Feel like a word stuck on the wrong page i didnt choose. Indeed we're all stuck in the same maze n cage, life's a grand movie n we all on the same stage. It's like the world is a book n we're all just words that make up one story regardless of individual origin, opinion, colour, status, creed or culture. All our destinies as human beings ultimately depend on each other. Its like every page's a different place n every word a different face...
Reminincin on ma past yearz, holdin back tears proves futile, perhaps its the only way to ease the hurt. I let ma emotions bleed thru ma eyes, memories n pain leak from ma heart thru my mind to the pen. At times i cant help but wonder why God let's certain thingz happen even with prior knowledge of all fate and capacity to avert all injustice n misfortune. We should all acknowledge that many predicaments are undesirable & yet entirely preventable by God, but they still come to pass. Does God hate some of us?
Does God have a sense of humour? If so, its ma hope n prayer to him to please hear me out n share one joke wit all of us, perhaps the world is a bunch of individual souls waiting for one unanimous emotion to unite us! Is God so busy He has to put some people's requests on hold? Arent there times you've felt ignored, forgotten, betrayed or even maliced by God? Theaz times i doubted God's awareness of all Human plight. If such is his love that He created, loves n takes us all as equals n his mercies are ever new n overflowing, then why let the unexplained misfortune, injustice n evil go on unchecked as though He were oblivious of it while a few drown in the fortune, treasures n pleasures under the same sun! Could it be a lack of initiative or a lack of will on God's part coz with such knowledge, might n authority, atleast an explanation will help. Could we be payin for those that preceeded us? Perhaps fate is the hidden price of free will...
I have learnt that in many instances essence comes before existence. It's true for every occurence, there's the ocassion, means and reason. These r the determining parameters of whether an act, thought or deed is right or wrong. Coz when somethin bad happens to a bad person, its percieved n accepted as justice served, but when misfortune befalls a good person then its taken as bad! Maybe
for someone to be good they must endure pain n misfortune gladly... Thus implying that for somethin to be bad it must happen to a good person. On my quest for knowledge, been to lots of places, seen many faces but still no explanation seems to suffice...
I concluded that regardless of place or what i face, i believe I break no rule as long as am in defence of self or in pursuit of justice n knowledge... So help me GOD.

"Only a fool isnt proud of failure, I kno I aint perfect but I've learned over the years that perfection is merely cumulative imperfection! What lies behind me n what lies ahead of me are nothin compared to what lies with in me, the biggest loss in life is not what a man misses or dies with out, but its rather what dies within him as he lives. Ambition determines priorities...

Predicant dreamer...
" There's a dream i have, in this dream i talk to everyone,
no one quarrels n no one ignores, no one throws, no one owes,
no one hates or wrongs anyone, but we owe all us one,
for we are one in flesh, blood, spirit, thought, intellect n cause.
All that bleeds feeds, from dust to dust, from seed to seed.
Mother Earth cries in her sleep, night mares in th ozone layer,
concrete n tarmac sealin every layer, burnin every where,
murder else where, hunger some where and anger every where.
What are th odds of us just gettin along as a race?
One lifestyle, one diet, one conscience, to live love learn n laugh as one
for one day in a minute or just a lifetime, its only ourselves we spare.
God pulls no triggers, points no fingers, takes part in no war,
buys no liquor, drives no car, He deserves no scar,
its on us as a people to do all we can, to draw a plan, coz we should,
if we seek the will of God rather than his role. I mean no harm,
am not sayin am going to rule the world, but i'll change it or die at it,
dont mean to alarm, but at time's i feel am losin ma essence in a sense.
But then this trio in ma mind causes me to consciously live, love, grow n learn thrice as much,
yet doing everything three times beyond ordinary. I see a tomorrow of no sorrow,
where Africa doesnt have to borrow, cant we see its a setup for more sorrow,
they lend us today to buy our tomorrow, blinded n corrupt, filthy greedy leaders just follow.
Eat up all our sweat n joy then we the pain swallow.
Am th author of ma destiny, the prophet of my fate,
In ma dreams i see ma true ambition, my visions carry my mission.
Change has no season, lets search our hearts we'll find a reason.
Co-operation turns life into a long warm journey of partners
but competition makes life a short cold tiring race where no one
ultimately gets further than the other. Trust me in my claim to insanity
but Unity Tolerance Empathy n Altruism will lift all our burdens as a race
only if we consciously try... "
